Product testing
The quality mark was developed by the Institut für Baubiologie Rosenheim GmbH to provide consumers with clear guidance when selecting certified building products.
It identifies products that have been tested in accordance with the applicable and published IBR test criteria and which, at the time of certification, met the requirements for the parameters tested. The scope and results of the testing relate exclusively to the properties, test methods and evaluation criteria specified in the relevant test programme.
The quality mark helps consumers to assess the certified products. It enables manufacturers to demonstrate transparently that the product has been tested and meets the specified requirements. The test mark does not imply any statement regarding properties not examined, individual health tolerances or the full range of a product’s effects on health and the environment.
Product-specific test criteria are available for numerous product groups. These specify, amongst other things, the test subject, the test methods to be applied and the respective assessment requirements.
