OUR SERVICES

Indoor air analysis services at the IBR

Our accredited, independent laboratories specialising in fibre analysis (asbestos, MMMF) and mould conduct on-site sampling and provide reliable, prompt indoor air analyses (PCB, PAH, PCP, lindane, DDT, VOC, formaldehyde, etc.).

The professional collection of air, material, and dust samples by experienced, knowledgeable technicians is a cornerstone of assessing contamination issues. In collaboration with officially recognised, independent laboratories, we inspect living spaces for contaminants—specifically asbestos, fibrous dusts, and mould, as well as PCBs, pesticides, and PAHs.

Air sampling

Indoor air sampling for asbestos, PCBs, PCP, lindane, DDT, PAHs, VOCs (volatile organic compounds), and formaldehyde.

Microbiology

Airborne microbe analysis, microscopic examination of material samples, house dust analysis, analysis of adhesive tape samples, analysis of contact plate/swab samples, expert reports and root cause analysis regarding indoor mould infestations.

Pollutant analysis

PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls), organochlorine compounds (PCP, lindane, DDT, dichlofluanid, and other wood preservatives), pyrethroids, pesticides and biocides in material samples and soils, volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds (VOCs, SVOCs), formaldehyde, PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons), phthalate plasticisers, organophosphorus flame retardants, mineral oil hydrocarbons (MOH), volatile halogenated hydrocarbons (VHCs), BTEX (volatile aromatic hydrocarbons), heavy metals, moulds

Assessing mould contamination and infestation requires consideration of a wide range of factors. It demands a high level of expertise and a comprehensive understanding of ecological, hygienic-microbiological, analytical-diagnostic, and medical aspects.

As there is no universal method for identifying mould infestation, a broad spectrum of techniques is employed to ensure an optimal and targeted approach. Furthermore, familiarity with relevant guidelines and standards, combined with state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, is essential for obtaining meaningful, well-founded results to determine the cause of the mould infestation.
